  • 1.  what would prevent temp vendors from being purged?

    What would prevent a vendor marked as Temporary with no outstanding balances from being purged during period end processing?

    An odd thing is the vendor has check history and 1099 data older than the retention period in the options.

    @Kevin Moyes Yep, I'm aware of that - but - none of those criteria apply. ​The vendor has a zero balance and no invoices. But like I mentioned there are records in the check history for some reason and records in the 1099 history. Not sure why those records were not purged, the invoices were purged!?

    Open PO?
    A master developer could probably look into what tables are checked during the purge process.

    @Kevin Moyes I don't think they own PO, but I need to confirm that.
    @Bill Pfahnl but why is there 1099 history if it is beyond the retention period? Why won't it purge the 1099 history then ​the vendor. Weird.​

    So, the only way I could get the vendor to purge during PEP was to first use the utility Purge Accounts Payable History (invoice and payment)  and then use Purge Vendor 1099 Payment History.

    Still not sure exactly why!?

    When Sage won't let us delete something (customer / vendor / item) we tend to renumber / merge into a ZZZZZZZ record, which cleans things up, but doesn't break any of the data.
