What setting am I missing? Sage v4.50.2. When a Sales Order with freight is partially shipped & invoiced, on my customers machine the freight comes through again when the backorder is shipped. On my system the freight only comes through with this initial shipment. They want their system to perform like mine, but I can't figure it out! I don't have 4.5 installed on my system, is this just a difference between 4.5 and 5.1?

this is ONLY a guess but it may have something to do with the setting in sales order > Setup > Sales Order Options > Tab # 2 ""Entry"" look that ""Use Shipping Code to Calculate Freight"" I'm pretty sure that is what controls the freight when an invoice is created.

Unfortunately, both are set to ""No""... so that's not it.

Thanks for checking that @LisaDion. I will check the updates and see if maybe it was a known issue. I don't see anything in the KB about it, but that isn't saying much.

Perhaps they should just upgrade to v5.1....... Did this just start happening?

Agreed, they should! I don't think so, customer stated ""a while"". They are just sick of doing the credit memos when the shippers miss it.

Tested on 4.50.4 and the freight DOES come through a second time. So if Lisa with 4.5.6 doesn't have an issue, update to 4.50.6 at least.

Just did a clean install of 4.5 on my system and tested with the same results as above. Updated to 4.50.7, and no change?? So strange. Opened a case with Sage and they are stumped too! There must be a setting somewhere, but where??

Both. We figured out it must be some sort of customization though, when we turned on escape trapping it worked as planned. I have disabled all the scripts, but still not working. No extended solutions, so now we are digging deeper. Thanks for the support everyone!
