  • 1.  What resources do you refer to on nearly every upgrade?

    Posted 08-05-2025 13:42

Working with the content committee and I'd like to focus some attention on knowledge articles that Sage 100 consultants make heavy use of during almost every upgrade or new implementation.

I think it would be especially good if these articles weren't covered very well by the Sage KB.

For me these articles have been:

    - Sage 100 Premium FAQ
    - How to upgrade early 3.x or 4.x versions to current Sage 100
    - Paperless office file move/merge utility
    - I don't currently have this one but I think a compilation on resolving Paperless office errors - especially if it were suitable for giving to a client's IT department

I'm thinking that if we start with about five highly popular knowledge articles we could always expand from there.

Are there any you can think of that I'm missing that should be on this list?

I usually go live without updating the system files (I do copy the PDF log tables over) but now I think I may have to convert the system files as well as they have added some fields in the PDF logs for original form code.  I would love a separate utility to convert the PDF logs.  @David Speck II, does your PDF path conversion utility require any tweaks for v2025?  Asking for a friend.

I haven't had a chance to test it with v2025 but as long as Sage didn't change the column name for the Directory then it should work fine.
