What level of Sage 100 was 64-bit ODBC introduced? Is it 2013 only or is it available at v4.5 for Sage 100 Advanced?

    It's 2013 only.

Is this solution here to use 32-bit MS Office? I am using MS Office 2013 (64bit) and when I try to do an ODBC connection; it fails and gives me the following message ""the specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the driver and application"". Do you have any ideas? Is it a driver issue?

You have to use the 32 bit office version

They need to use the odbc32ad in the syswow64. To make any odbc changes or configurations

    Syswow64 is the system32 equivolant

Any way to get the 64-bit MS Office working with 32 bit ODBC on Sage 100 Advanced v4.5? I know the recommendation (and probably solution) is to use 32 bit Office but the customer has some add-in that only works on 64-bit (Power Pivot?)

    I'd recommend upgrading to 2013.

Yes I'm just looking at the full boat of options - upgrade was the first recommendation. Even though Sage technically supports the prior current levels I think in the future we are going to see a big push to upgrade customers every year. Problem is that customers look at the expense and the ""what's new"" .

I haven't tried it but if it is critical you might test drive the 64bit odbc from pvx plus. They said it should work with standard pvx but does not use the same Security as sage 100 so no odbc security. I THINK the cost is around $100 for each user

Thanks for the PVXPLUS tip - anyone ever use that 64-Bit ODBC? Seems like it could be a nice short term solution - especially if the cost is only $100

Also wonder if I installed the 2013 on the server and ran wksetup whether the 64-bit ODBC would be usable for v4.5

Someone here tested it. I can't remember who. I'm pretty sure the answer was no.

And the 64 bit ODBC driver is a separate, optional install.

Thanks - I think the trick of loading higher level and running wksetup might have worked for paperless but I forget the specifics of why/when.

That was a 4.30 paperless issue where installing 4.50 would resolve the issues.
