What is the typical time frame for an older product to roll off support after a new version is released? In other words, if version 2014 releases in February, when would version 4.30 support typically end?

    Isn't it three versions + current- 2014, 2013, v4.5 & v4.4? Good question.

I believe it used to be 2 versions back but they have extended that over the past few years. As for 4.30 support officially ended 9/30/2013, and 4.40 will retire 9/30/14, and 4.50 9/30/15. Sage does publish a supported versions document that talks about retirement dates per version.

Link: https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com/irj/go/km/docs/sageKM/Sage%20MAS%2090%20and%20200/Assets/SupportPolicySage100and500ERPMay2013.pdf Doesn't answer the question of what the # of years is. As Pam said I think Sage wavers on that quite a bit.

@WayneSchulz I had the same pdf but it is as of May, 2013. I was trying to anticipate when 4.30 and 4.40 would roll off support. Staying on support is one of the driving factors for some of our customers and one of the levers we use to promote upgrade projects. That and the number of new features added, which unfortunately are diminishing with each release.
