What is currently the best way to get a QuickBooks company moved onto Sage 100? Are there data migration tools anymore? The client has Visual Integrator.

I think DataMigrator was abandoned back inn 4.2/4.3. I export to Excel from QB, do a bunch of cleanup in Excel (thank you Intuit for not complicating users lives with silly fields like city, state and zip) and import with VI.

Thanks, that is essentially what I have had to do in the past. I was hoping I had missed something :)

And then fire all of the QB users so you don't spend years hearing ""but I could do that in Quickbooks...

I talked to them at Summit - they have only actually done a couple of conversions.

The issue with Greytrix other then the cost is the timing . There is a 2 to 3 days minimum to do final conversion.

Thank you all for replying. Hopefully, Graytrix will get faster with practice. Most companies that really need the service would need to have it happen overnight or at least over a weekend. It appears the data set is fairly small and history is not a big deal so VI is probably the best route for now.
