Does anyone have experience what happens after  SAGE100C  the subscription expires?  What works?  Is it similar to payroll where just reports work.  I understand you can go to an older non C version prior to the call home but wondering  if anyone has gone though it.

Last I heard is that Sage had not embedded the technology into the keys to do anything (as far as the client's system looking for exp dates) and everything still works – I would love to see if this has changed as well,

    Thank you,

Had a client get locked out due to a bad subscription.  Luckily, were were testing the upgrade.  Read only mode.

@Jeff Schwenk  What does read only mean?  Any access to masterfiles inquiry?.  Reports?  Crystal reports?

To what extent, I don't know.  Master files went to view only mode.  Didn't take the time to determine ODBC status as we were getting to going live.  Spent way too much time on phone with tech support.  They finally accessed the UK licensing server to remedy the situation.  Educated guess is that the ODBC would still be usable.  But, just a guess.

I had a payroll user who didn't subscribe but upgraded payroll alongside their core modules. I was able to use ODBC to payroll as well as VI. This was LEGACY payroll so I don't know whether that changed with the framework and I can't say if this also applies to the regular modules.

Were you ever able to get a definitive answer?  Our Sage renewal rep always tries to keep them on a 1 user license so they have access to their history but I thought initially it was supposed to go to read only status.  The "real" answer depends upon who you talk with at Sage and we have never been able to get a consistent answer.
    TIA.  Pam

The real answer can only come from the developers, not from marketing...

I have a client that would like to know that answer also. They are renewing the lowest tier SAGE 100 Payroll subscription just for complete access, but stopped processing payroll in SAGE 100 on 1-1-2019.  Did this question get answered at MOTM 2020?

I have a similar situation and the client indicated they go back to history often and cannot lose it. Needs to keep at least back to 2017.  I have never gotten a definitive answer from Sage.  The subscription folks tell them they need to keep the module but I always assumed that was just for revenue and commission and not sure it true or not.

I'm interested to know if anyone has real, reliable info from Sage.
