That's what it looks like if you click on the html link .... which I guess technically it is html -- just crappy unformatted html. In order to view the article I think you must be in IE since the page is rendered in some XML format that Google Chrome (and most other) browsers are incapable of rendering. And again - scratch heads over how the Atlas Portal team still have jobs.

And it doesn't really answer the question. I think that they're addressing what happens if you don't install the IRD at all? Is that your interpretation?

Luckily I don't many clients that this applies to and I don't have to worry about mine for another year.....

Doesn't really answer it for me... It looks like scenario 1 is where you've installed the TTU but NOT the IRD. Scenario 2 is where you did not install the TTU but manually changed the tax table. In either case, isn't it saying you're hosed??

I wonder what happens if you install the IRD before you reach the 200k (or whatever appropriate) limit. Are the buckets still filled? My guess is no because there's new fields which wouldn't be created?

But when I installed the IRD in a test environment and tested different limits, the PR_40 file is created when you run a payroll but the fields are empty. Once you update PR, there are no records in it. Do you have any idea what other tables may or may not be written to??

I should modify that statement - when you run a payroll, you get a record for each employee but the fields are blank. Once you update the register, the file is empty - no employee records.
