What does the procurement type ""subcontract"" trigger when it is set within Inventory Maintenance? From a quick search of the Sage KB it seems to have some interaction with MRP but I can't see what the subcontract type is used for anywhere else. I'm not sure that Sage knows either judging by their unhelpful help screen for that field.

From the Sage online help: **Procurement** _Select the procurement method for this item._

Sage has help screens that ARE helpful???? I have ever seen one..... It is my understanding that this is ALL about MRP. Where is @DebThomas when you need her??? Oh wait, kicking back somewhere sipping some wine.....

Lol, Jeff you crack me up! However, i am having a small glass of bubbles as i type. It can also be used to sort inventory to determine the investment in subcontracted product. Its use in MRP is limited to allowing blow through to component level as MRP stops processing when it reaches a buy type. Still so wish they would have revamped MRP...sigh.
