What do you think about using Google+ as a way to create some public content and possibly get exposure to a wider community outside of Socialcast? Here's how it could work: a. We have a Google+ PAGE (link below) -- anyone can post to it (you'll have to circle it in your Google+ in order to read posts). https://plus.google.com/b/104571674850329569569/104571674850329569569/posts b. We could begin key topics -- such as the question of slow delete/renumber/merge in AR and summarize them on the public G+ group - such as here: https://plus.google.com/b/104571674850329569569/104571674850329569569/posts/eCZz8KsNeHg c. Members could very easily comment and participate in the public conversation I cannot promise that it will generate any business but I think it will be easier for all members to participate versus a blog which takes a little more time for most people to create, edit and post. Ideally we'd also kick off the conversation with a blog post on 90 Minds (I'd use a link back to 90 Minds blog post). I cannot promise that Google+ will continue to be developed though I'm betting that it will. This is similar to the ""Ask90Minds"" site except (a) costs us nothing and (b) it's a little easier for people to post to. ??

This potentially helps with SEO - though it's also another avenue for people to learn and find out more about 90 Minds and the power of our collaboration.

And it's outside the gated groups of LinkedIn or Facebook so the content is potentially better found in search (especially since it's a major Google site). We should give it a shot for six months or so and actively try to build here.

I was talking with a Social Media consultant and he just said the same thing about Google+. Google is putting tons of R&D into it and moving google places there as well. Growing almost 50% every 2 months and as you said, one things google will weight SEO rankings higher on it than facebook. Because of Circles its much easier to keep it business centric. Did you have to create a new gmail/google account so you could isolate it from your personal gmail login and stuff? Google is a PITA that way.

@WayneSchulz Also, are you auto populating those posts from your blog as I see them duplicated on your facebook and google+ account or are you manually posting in multiple places. if auto, what technique are you using?

I goofed this morning on some shares and had some duplicates. I auto post from my blogs to Facebook using RSS Graffitti. The shares to Google Plus I post manually. I am using just my regular Google Plus account because otherwise I find people start to circle you in several places and it's impossible to keep up. I am at http://goo.gl/Yectf I cannot say that I'm 100% sold on Google+ but I believe --- as you say --- Google will not go away on this. It is going to grow in popularity so best to embrace it. Since search is still the A1 method for people to find you --- i question why we would not pour more time and effort into a relatively open site like Google+. Adding content to walled gardens like FB and LinkedIn probably has to happen but I don't think it's going to be the main driver of business growth.
