Sage 100

What changes do I need to make between Sage 100 v4.3 and 2014 in order to send emails? Same server. The 2014 version is sending off an error : AUTH LOGIN 504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type Failed to login using LOGIN method --SMTP_Connect Failed to connect to SMTP server. Failed. --VerifySmtpLogin --ChilkatLog I've provided IT with: Error: ""Logon Denied"" Sage 100 ERP 2013 Description Logon Denied when sending email using Paperless on Sage 100 ERP version 2013. Other errors may include: Unable to login to SMTP connection Failed to login using LOGIN method Failed to login using NTLM method Resolution Open Exchange Management Console, Server Configuration, Hub Transport Right-Click SMTP Receive Connector and select Properties Select the Authentication Tab Select Basic Authentication check box Naturally this is all a Sage issue so no need to do any double checks. Before I offload them onto Sage - any words of wisdom? I believe I've tried every variation of configuration setting with the same result.

Try and just remove the username and password info from paperless setups in company maintenance. I've had an instance or two where we removed that and all worked.

Thanks - I took out the user name and password and it began working.
