I have a customer who does some selling through large retailers. It’s less than 1/2 dozen different stores.

These sites all want a pretty basic CSV showing item numbers and QTY on hand.

Presently they are exporting from Crystal and uploading via FTP.

I’m curious if there are any affordable ( under $2,000 a year ) solutions that automate the sync of this type of info.

I see more and more of this.

I am most definitely familiar with Insync and EDI providers.

So what I’m looking for is not necessarily stories of how those traditional solutions have worked for customers but rather anything new you have found that works just as well without large upfront and ongoing development costs.

I’ve used VisualCut, Logicity. Those are actually my preferred tools. I’m curious if I’ve overlooked something different that you have found and customers are happily using?

I always look for the free (or inexpensive) option first.  Then I determine if the free option is efficient and secure enough to justify using it.

One of my customers has a similar requirement.  I created a VI export, and then automated the export using a batch file.  Windows Task Scheduler executes the batch file / VI export at 3am every morning.  AutoDesk FTP is scheduled to send the file at 4am.
