What are the limitations for an existing Sage 100 customer who tries to use the included/free Sage Intelligence components? When and why would they purchase additional components? Sage 100 customers on silver maintenance have: 1 license for Report Manager Sage 100 customers on gold maintenance have: 1 license for Report Manager 1 license for Designer Module Sage 100 customers on platinum maintenance have: 3 licenses for Report Manager 3 licenses for Designer I presume that: - The absence of Designer means you have to create the report at your office and import it to the customer - The absence of Connector means you cannot connect more than one company database for consolidations Are there more (or fewer) limitations than this? In many cases I've told customers just to plan on buying the $99/mo bundle because it has gotten exhausting trying to explain this to FRx users who seem to have 20 questions about how/why this is licensed. Also, does Report Manager support emailing out reports to groups of people?

This is the year I'm hoping to get my existing FRx users to migrate to SI. Most of them have been clinging to FRx because it hasn't broken yet.

The Designer and Connector are licensed as modules, not by user, so all Report Managers have access to them.

Is report manager licensed by user?

By workstation sounds like how F9 did it.

    Bundle pricing per month is by number of active companies: 1 - 2 companies $99.00 3 - 9 companies $129.00 10 + companies $199.00

If I create a report using Report Designer on my machine and send it to the client, they must also have Report Designer. If you pull up the report, the fields that use the Report Designer formulas all say #VALUE and you will see a note about Report Designer license has to be purchased or owned or something like that.

@BethBowers is correct. I will add that the Connector model (not included in maintenance) is required under two scenarios: 1) multiple company access (ie, financial consolations or combined operating data). 2) Custom data containers are needed. In our experience, when developing non-financial reports, custom containers are nearly always needed. These present options to pass SQL to the Providex data and really pump-up the report development functionality. Note: If customers have an RD server is use, the non-subscription model can be quite reasonable when leveraging in the RD environment.

Thanks @RebekahVeuger for pointing that out about the Connector. That's why the SI bundle is the best value for most.
