What am I missing here? Sage stops product updates 3/2016 for 2015 - which in my view leaves essentially the current release as the only fully supported version of Sage 100. Yeah, technically you can get a hot-fix (and you probably would for anything serious) but really going from N-2 to N? Sage needs to clean up their supported versions and have a much clearer policy. The current way they are tracking it seems like their typical ""sneak attack"". Don't announce to the customer and let the partner find out the hard way then break the news to the customer.

I am asking Linda Cade about this , Hopefully she is not in the same hibernation Diane Haines seems to be.

@WayneSchulz - I remember something about this on one of the partner webinars (or maybe it was at MOTM) where they talked about getting to the place where they only support the current version and the prior version. However, my head is in a daze from all these Sage changes, and I might be making that up. I guess since they are still providing phone support until 9/30/16 on v2013, they are technically supporting N-3, right? So confusing...

Depending upon what your level of tolerable risk is - Sage does indeed support you for longer than when the product updates officially end. I think my issue is that product updates are complete and contained bundles of fixes which signify a supported product. As soon as you have to go back and pick up individual hot fixes you are now paying full boat for maintenance but having to work much harder to apply all the fixes. In essence, Sage also doesn't spend much time keeping their knowledge articles on older versions updated with every hot fix. I actually don't have a problem with the timeframe that Sage is running. I just think they should be a lot more open about it. And if they're ashamed to publicly address it then maybe they need to revisit the policy. I've asked and asked about this and all Sage does is look at their shoes and shuffle. I send Linda Cade an email this morning but my expectations are low that I'll get any type of response.

Here is how I categorize the ""supported versions"": - Product Updates = Fully supported - Hot fixes / TTU / IRD = Tier 2 - Phone only = Tier 3 (aka you can beg for a fix and listen to Sage tell you to upgrade) - Online KB = Tier 4 (aka not supported any longer but you can look up old bugs)

It's a mess. They keep getting narrower and narrower on sales and support. Let's play the game of ""how much will the customers take before they wake up and find a new product?
