What am I missing. Customer migrating 4.3 to 4.5 - needs to change column headings on the recorder maintenance. I can add in a new UDF - and change that heading. But existing fields that I'm re-purposing (example: Bin Location) do not appear that they can have their header text changed. Yet on other inventory panels I'm able to do so. It makes for a rather uneven user experience because the user is used to seeing ""title' everywhere except now I'd have to explain ""title"" = ""bin loc"" on this one panel? Hopefully I've screwed up somewhere and overlooked an easy way to rename the column title but I'm not seeing it.

I don't beleive you're missing anything. I've run into this issue with anything that is panel orientated (like Sales Order lines).

    Panel refresh? Update the customizer?

It's odd because on some panels you can change headings -- and on others you not only cannot but you have to add UDF fields on a separate tab. It's as if two different teams of programmers worked on this (which is probably exactly why this issue exists).

If only the left handed programmer talked to the right handed programmer.................. Not sure what pet peeve is bigger - Coding consistencies between modules or the fact that WADS are really TLTF (Too Lazy to Fix)!!!!!!!!!

If it's a grid, of course you can change the column headers! There's a file, SY_GridDefinition, that you need to edit. Note that it's best to do this BEFORE you make screen customizations, because then any screen customizations copy from the base definition.
