Were we going to meet today to review the pre-Summit conference registrations, etc.? We currently have eight registrations, three one-day and five two-day. Thoughts?

Do we need to meet or can we hash it out in Socialcast?

    That works too.

In addition to the current registrations, we have at least four other requests for non-members to attend. They've been told it will open up to others after 5/2 for a higher fee.

I still feel strongly that this will NOT be a money loser. Maybe extend the early bird one more week or just go with it so others can sign up. If we hold it, they will come.....

I can't really understand why ""others"" wouldn't join for the opportunity. Seems crazy. I think part of the problem is that some folks are still deciding whether they are going to Summit or not. I think it makes sense to extend the ""early bird"" for another week. Unfortunately we announced pretty resoundly that it would end today.

Agreed on extension comments. Torn. Based on the early poll, this thing should have been sold out. The only thing I have found expensive about Vegas is the air fare. Even if they don't attend Summit, it is out of pocket is very low for the very high value.

Good points all. I also think we will break even or better. The question is if the early bird pricing goes away will that hurt sales and jeopardize the class.

Do we give the green light to purchase tickets?

Non early bird pricing is 525 and 950

We could also neglect to remember to up the pricing.

I think another week of early bird pricing is fine. I guess the big issue is if we are just going for it. We have 25% of or expect attendance after a week. Do we roll the dice!! Nice pun!!!

Sorry, customers keep getting in the way! So are we extending the early bird pricing AND opening it up? Or just announcing we are opening it up?

  • 14.  RE: Were we going to meet today to review the pre-Summ

    Posted 05-02-2014 08:25
Well, we could change the pricing by offering a 90Minds member price of $850 and $475 for the next two weeks AND go live with the $950 and $525 pricing for non members. In two weeks, the 90Minds pricing disappear and everybody pays the $950 and $525 rate. This way, we can stick to our guns with the early bird, but still give johnny come latelies a 90Mind price break if they get off their butts and show us the money.

    Two weeks or one week?

Or killing the EB rate as of today and replacing it with a 90Minds rate and a non Mind rate. Yes, a little hard to police but it is doable. This will allow us to stick to the early announcement, still provide the 90Mind laggard deal PLUS open it up for non members BUT employees of affiliate firms..

Can we do a conference call in 15 minutes or so? It appears that Wayne and Peter are elsewhere, but the four of us can probably resolved the issue in ten minutes or less. 12:30 PM EASTERN is the new call in time. Conference Dial-in Number: (760) 984-1000 Participant Access Code: 210857#

Interesting. The Eventbrite site appears to be down. No registration or editing capabilities. Would give us a reason to extend the Early Bird rates for a couple more days?

    It's interesting that so far there's only 1 1+1.
