Well, I guess it is take your husband to work day as I am my wife's office at the hospital where she works. I have been warned NOT to touch any of the computer equipment so I am working with just ONE monitor. OH, the misery!!!! Massive snow storm in the valley today. Snow continues to be unrelenting. No power at the BLS World Hq office for the near term. Wish I could get up the mountain. Ski conditions are wonderful.....

Looks like a winter wonderland! My husband just landed in NY - so far so good with the weather. Hope you get your power back soon.

Luckily, we live across the street from the old hsopital which is now a senior assisted living apartment building. The maintenance man saw me shoveling so he came over with his pickup and snow blade and cleared my driveway. What a life saver! All I had to do was clear the street up to the corner so we could get out. I doubt if the snow blowers are discounted today at Lowes...... I knew it was just a matter of time that the weather would drop south and get us. But I think it is headed Wayne's way as I type......

The 50s! Well I guess I'm a wimpy Californian, but glad you'll be warming up soon. Does that mean you won't need to buy a snow blower, it will just melt?

There's a reason I live on the Gulf Coast. I can dodge a hurricane but I CAN'T STAND cold weather! Please stay safe!

The last time I didn't shovel the driveway, I slipped and broke my leg. Ended up with in surgery with a rod in my leg. A VERY interesting day. I've learned my lesson!

Same here @ChuckPeddy although these sinkholes have me questioning my strategy.

So sorry to hear about that! I take it you'll be buying a snow blower? Shoveling doesn't sound like fun, but better than suffering an injury - blowing away the issue sounds better...

An oldie but goodie from the past regarding the hospital visit. Will wait a bit on the snow blower. So far, it doesn't snow enough to spend that much money on one. Would rather spend it going to the 2014 MOTM conference. Much more fun! https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/4593415

The problem with your paradise is that EVERYBODY wants to live there!!!!! I'll continue to visit every February!

Here's another rub, maybe you should visit my friend's villa with a staff of 4 to take care of you - I left it empty. Guaranteed - no snow on the equator. I brought back a taste and attached it here - the volcano in the photo isn't active now either...

I could live in Dan's paradise, though the commute could be rough!

We made it in record time - only 31 hours. Left Sunday at 7:30 PM PST arrived Corvallis 2:30 AM PST Tuesday. Watched Argo, Hitchcock, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Chasing Mavericks and an Ethel Kennedy. I highly recommend Singapore Air. Listen to the WAV file.
