  • 1.  Weird RDP Issue

    Anyone see anything like this?  Almost current version.  Weird in that if its the same user logging in from a different pc to RDP, I would think the behavior should be identical.

    I have 2 people now when they RDP to our Sage 100 cloud server to run the desktop client, the client loads then immediately closes rendering them unable to work. 

     

    The only solution I have right now is to log in as them from a different PC and then it seems to load and work correctly.  It seems to be related to their specific PC's.

     

    Not sure if you have seen this before or have some suggestions.  The RDP server has been updated and rebooted as have the client PC's.

    That would definitely be a work station issue on the one which is not working.  I would...
    • Verify by logging in as another user from the machine which is not working to isolate to the machine.
    • Check Windows updates to see what installed recently on the one which is not working.  
    • Check windows firewall and anti-virus settings between the machines

    Try resetting SY_Workstation.  That sometimes fixes weird workstation specific issues.

    I believe everyone needs to exit Sage.  Stop the service.  Rename sy_workstation.  Start the service.  Access Sage.

    Everyone out, stop the service (if applicable), rename the file... and it is regenerated automatically. 
    KB 66909 goes a step further if you want the full list of files to reset for such issues.
