I have a client that is VERY frustrated with the 2019 upgrade from 2017.  Apparently every week she pays one group of employees and every other week she pays another group of employees.  So some employees are paid weekly and some biweekly.

Apparently when she pays both groups (every other week) she would enter them in one payroll batch with one set of reports.  She then has a very manual process (which she blames on the owner - but seems to covet) in which she does entries and other manual reporting.  She indicates having these payrolls as two separate postings with two separate payrolls is too burdensome.  Any input on resolving to do both of these payrolls in one batch in 2019?

You could create a VI import to change the pay cycle in employee maintenance before creating each payroll.

I think the issue is that you can't mix pay cycles in one batch now and you used to be able to.

This is indeed the issue.  If I were training a client prior to this version, I would have recommended two payrolls and to not mix them.  The client does not want to hear they have to do two payrolls.  They are very frustrated.  Any enhancements or work arounds that others are doing?

QuickBooks?????  Sometimes people have to change.  At times, you can't fight city hall.  Most of us are just as frustrated as the client.

Does turning on batch entry help at all? Could you then merge the batches?
