We just got a new account that has Avalara along with Sage 100 Advanced version 4..5. Planning a test upgrade - is there a way to have an Avalara ""sandbox"" for the test system? Any special considerations or things I should build into the upgrade proposal?

yes, you can set up a temp ""test"" account on their dashboard. Make the company code something other than their live one.

Don't have them re-use existing invoice numbers as they may get a message stating they are invalid (since they already exist). You may also have to copy the ..MAS90\AvaTax directory to each workstation's C: drive then run the register_for_com batch file within it. Not sure if that is still an issue in 2014 or 2015 but I know it was in 2013.
