We have been approached by SLA (Strategic Leadership Association) asking if there's any benefit to them running their conference/meeting at the same location as Meeting Of The Minds. They are trying to minimize travel, etc. Make it easier for those who belong to both organizations to attend the meetings and not have to choose one over the other. This would probably be right AFTER MOTM so that if you were going to both conferences you would stay for SLA which I believe would be in the same hotel - or very nearby. Depending upon the overlap (number of 90 Minders) who also would attend SLA meeting - we could conceivably have a joint session or social event (though nothing is decided at this time). Please help us decided the best way to proceed by answering whether you would take advantage of having SLA meeting right after MOTM? I have a call scheduled with SLA for next week - so if you could respond asap that would be helpful. Some info on SLA: http://strategicleadershipassociation.org/slaalumni.com/about/

SLA meeting format today is Sunday evening social, Monday seminar all day, Mon eve dinner, Tues session through 2 pm. So it's designed to let you arrive on Sunday and be home by Tues night. They currently move the meeting to a new city each meeting, 2x/year. Usually April and Oct. I have found the sessions to always be stimulating, and with content I probably wouldn't elsewhere, but is quite relevant to my issues. Topics are always relevant to our partner business, but often would also be useful to use with our customers. I assume that this possibility COULD result in one of the SLA meetings each year coinciding with MOTM in San Diego. If aren't already an SLA member, I heartily encourage you to consider membership.

If you haven't already taken the poll - please do so. I am speaking with SLA next week and would like some idea of the number of members who might be attending both the MOTM and SLA event so as to decide if we should try to have the events back to back or possibly join social event.
