We have a Sage CRM prospect who is a current MAS 90 customer that is NOT looking for the integration. (They currently use SalesLogix.) My question is, does the CRM functionality change or differ if you buy through the MAS user-based pricing vs. SageCRM stand-alone?

@PeterWolf is our SagCRM (I added his name in here so he'd get a notification)

Just in case Peter has something to do today other than comment here ;-): As of 4.50, everyone current on MAS maintenance gets SageCRM server and one user free, and the SageCRM user licenses are separate from MAS user licenses, so I do not see any reason you couldn't operate it independently and pay the $795 per user after the first one.

You rang? The functionality is the same - except the obvious: the standalone Sage CRM version does not have any links or integration with MAS. There are a few things that have been restricted in the MAS integrated version in the past such as offline client (SageCRM Solo) that they will be able to use with the standalone. I've asked the team to dig up the specifics but the core functionality is all the same.

Thanks Peter! Have you done migrations from SalesLogix?

We have done a few over the last four years. We can discuss Monday unless it's urgent? Also - Phil is correct. They can get the MAS integrated and simply not use the MAS integration pieces. It saves the client some money and it gives them the option of integrating at a later date if they chose to. Let me check to make sure there are not any features pulled out still though.

Just received confirmation: with MAS 4.5 integration, SageCRM now has all funcitonality enabled except the offline client. The offline client's future is in question anyway so hopefully that won't be a factor.

Thanks again, Peter. This is the job I mentioned to you a while back. We are submitting a HUGE RFP for it today. They will be deciding by 10/20. Should they decide to accept, at some point Azamba should see some work from it. (Did I mention it is a 60-user deal?)

Awesome on all fronts! Good luck to you and let me know if you need anything else. I'm always glad to help partners with SageCRM related stuff.

Please note: I will forgive you if you get the job and bring Azamba in to assist. ;)

Azamba ? Wayne Schulz! I told my team our tagline should read ""Azamba is SageCRM"". But we didn't want Sage lawyers to sue us so now our tagline is ""Azamba: Not too shitty"".
