We have a new Sage 100 client that has Peachtree and Sage 100 advanced installed on the same server. The client is having some login errors into Peachtree and wants to make sure that it is not a conflict between the 2 programs. Does anyone else have Peachtree and Sage 100 running on the same server? If so, have you had any conflicts between the programs??

I have clients with both on one server. Can they log into PT on the server? Is Pervasive running? I've had Pervasive uninstall itself recently. #PeaceOut

I have a client running both on the same server and haven't had any complaints. They have different back ends, so I'm not sure why they would conflict.

Rhonda, do you know why Pervasive uninstalled itself?? Maybe that is their issue. Did you have to reinstall Peachtree or restore from backup?

@DeniseSawyer , it was after some Windows updates in my case. On my test laptop which has 3 versions of everything on it. I just ran the PT installer again, let it do 'repair' and it put Pervasive back. Another thing that might break pervasive is any fundamental changes to the machine (client and server both use Pervasive), such as a computer name change. You may need to manually activate Pervasive again, but I think the messaging usually indicates that. Look in the services for Pervasive. It's something like PVSW. If you have an exact error, I can look it up in the KB.

P.S. To protect Peachtree data, I'd make a Peachtree (not a file) backup from a PC that's working, or find (2nd choice) that folder with the 7charachter name that sounds a bit like the company name. All company data but user prefs and whatnot are in there. It's usually (not always) located under Peachtree/Company.
