We have a MAS 200 4.4 system that kicked everyone off (about 20 users). They can log back on but get 'object xxxx_UI does not exist' or 'Error 65 SY_MAINTUI.PVC in line 1600 for most anything they try. tried restarting service. tried restarting server. Messages pretty much the same.

Can you run in standalone mode?

I haven't tried that but I can go to company maintenance and things work at that level. When we enter a module and go to a menu choice is where it breaks down.

I had someone this morning that had similar errors and I ended up having to reinstall MAS. No idea what got screwed up - wasn't worth searching for it. I was guessing an auto update of something (probably anti-virus) that caused it, but don't know that for sure. All I reinstalled was System Setup and Library Master.

We ran a scan and found no issues. Sage had us replace the SOA, Launcher, Home and SY_System folders as well as the Providex.... files. At this point we are doing what Beth suggested.

FWIW, Folder and file replacements suggested by Sage didn't correct things. A reinstall produced errors and a new parallel install did the same. Server Issue. Fortunately, the IT guy backs an image from this virtual server to another every night. We copied the data files to the backup server, took the bad server off line and put the backup server on line and the customer is functioning again. We are still trying to find out what happened to the original; however, because we can not even do an install from a CD (4.4) there has to be issues on the windows side as well.

Did you try running Sage 100 Advanced in standalone mode so you could isolate it to an Advanced issue or a Sage 100 overall issue?

I did Wayne. It produced the same errors that the application server and service did. Interestingly enough, the new parallel install would not run on either the application server or the service. I think the client was in bad shape and the service would not say running. When run in the MAS 90 mode, it could start programs and see data fine.
