Sage 100

We have a long time Sage 100 client that is getting into fuel distribution. Does anyone know of fuel distribution software that will integrate with Sage 100? Does anyone have insights on DM2, a Sage 100 reseller that has integrated solutions for fuel distribution? Has anyone ever partnered successfully with DM2? I brought an existing client to them in the middle 90s and after making their presentation, they told the client if they wanted the software, DM2 would have to be their reseller of record.

That sounds about right. I dealt with them once with a consulting client (we were not the ROR - they were). The entire company seems to have an attitude, and they had done a very poor job with basic accounting setups - hence our involvement. That being said, there are very specific functions required for distributors and they have those. I did try to bring in bMobile to that client, because they have worked with fuel distributors. I agree with @JohnHoyt . I have a petroleum distribution client. We looked at DM2. They don't want to partner with the reseller.. they want to take over the entire account and cut the reseller out of the loop. My client even picked up on the ""bad vibe"" and quickly dismissed their solution. We created some custom mods and reports to report using gallons and other industry specific issues.

I had a client using DM2 for years. We were retained as the ROR because my client insisted upon it. It was a pain when it came to upgrading with us trying to work ""together."" They made things way more difficult than they had to. My client complained continuously about not being able to install upgrades because DM2 was always way behind. About a year ago my client basically started a new system in order to get rid of DM2. They're currently using SSCS http://www.sscsinc.com/ and are happy with them. They use VI jobs to import into Sage 100.

I agree with @JohnHoyt as well. They are very difficult to work with and are not looking to develop relationships with the resellers as far as I can tell.

I had a client almost identical to @MaryJoKrueger. We remained the ROR but upgrades were an adventure. This was a petroleum company. They were happy with the combination of Sage 100 and DM2.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. It doesn't sound like things have changed much with DM2. The feeling I get is that DM2 software is not bad if you can stand working with the company. The client I lost to DM2 is now out of business so I can't get an opinion from them. For now, I think we will just work with the normal distribution modules and some customizations until we have a clearer idea of what they need. There appear to be a few other options out there but it is unclear how well they each would integrate. I will investigate SSCS. VI would be fine as they are using it for other things as well.
