We have a client that wants to print the purchase order information on the receipt labels that print out during receipt of goods entry. Seems reasonable enough. Problem is, these receipt labels use the inventory receipt work table that does not appear to have any of the PO information and also I don't see a way to data source that PO information into a UDF. Am I missing something obvious?

NO! This is something that really irritates me - someone wasn't working in the real world when they created that work file.

I feel better i'm not missing something but not so good about what I will tell the client.

You can source a UDF but it only works if you are dealing with an item who's valuation will cause it to hit the tier distribution table.

Good to know @DavidSpeckII - as you pointed out, that works if it is a lot or serialized item. And that would at least give us something to link back to the receipt and from there I could get the data in crystal. Naturally this customer uses FIFO! I tested to make sure but this won't work for FIFO items. Like Beth says. classic case of programmers not working in the real world. I can't believe I've not run into this before.
