We have a client that just switched to Office 365 for their email service. We updated the Company Maintenance settings for the new SMTP information and we are able to send a ""test"" email from there. When we go to send an actual electronic document we receive a lengthy error log and at the end of that it states that the ""client does not have permissions to send as this sender"". Does anyone have any ideas why we can send a test email from Co. Maintenance and not with an actual document delivery? @AlnoorCassim

Have a client that switched over to Office 365. They didn't run into that specific error but it sounds like this issue. The email recipients weren't getting their emails. IT found a specific From address needed to be used. They said something about the From address needing to be ""the same as an Office 365 user's username signing the Office 365 outgoing mail server (SMTP)"". So I used the From address they gave me and it worked. You can also Google this error as well.

I don't have the answer, but I have seen this exact issue. The problem is on the mail server security and who it sees as sending the message. It is not on any settings in Sage.

I think the error occurs on e-mail systems that don't permit spoofing (meaning, the From address must be the same one as defined in Company Maintenance). I know gmail doesn't, but unsure about Office 365.

Have you looked into the Impersonated User setups in O365? We have a few successfully using O365 and Paperless, but the Impersonated User setups seem to have been slightly different in almost all cases.

I don't have any answers but I can say office 365 hosted exchange is a pita vs. on oremise and you have a lot less flexibility in configuration. Classic saas downsides
