We have a client on MAS 90 version 4.05, JobOps and not on maintenance since 4.20. They use SalesForce for their CRM, and now think it would be really cool to integrate MAS data to the CRM. And they also may change to MS Dynamics CRM and would want to integrate that. And they have no plan to reinstate maintenance and upgrade. So after they told me all the data integrations they wanted to do, I asked why they had not considered Sage CRM, which has all of that integration as a standard feature. Response: I'm not sure if it is as good as SalesForce or Dynamics CRM. (I am now sensing @PeterWolf seething and shouting ""let me talk to them!"") They think the integration is an easy project, which is the problem. We effectively make zero off them currently, except for network support, so I see no future. They called us first to give us a chance to quote on the project before researching who may have done this. I recommended they call eBridge Connections who have done both of the above integrations. Has anyone had any clients who has done these integrations with eBridge? (I'm expecting the answer to be no, or we fire clients like that.)

John, we looked at eBridge once for a client that wanted to do something similiar and I was not impressed at all with them. Based on that experience with them I would stay as far away as possible from them. Maybe someone else has had a different experience with them.

I have not done anything but my memories echo John's - this question has been asked once or twice with nothing really jumping out as being a good solution. Of course all the players want you in their ecosystem so there's very little incentive to build a good SFDC bridge.

I have heard the same in the past. At Summit, they are always very cordial, but isn't everyone that has a booth that way.

We tried to implement an eBridge solution once with a client. Epic fail. Never again.

We've made some progress. The client has agreed to speak with the CRM Master - @PeterWolf. And, he also wants to discuss the latest versions of MAS 90 and JobOps early in 2013. (Guess I better tell him it's called Sage 100 ERP now.)

CRM-ERP integration is devilishly hard. And yet most IT folks I run into don't see it that way at all. That is a real problem. there is a lot of value in an integration developed specifically by the vendor of the ERP and CRM products.

I talked to the customer. They said that Salesforce told them an integration per their request would be $10K - $50K and they would dedicate a team to it. I chuckled a bit (quietly - not very offensive at all) and said that I bet they would and they should expect the actual fees to come in around $50K - $125K. John and I are going to get them numbers for an updated MAS - CRM solution. Go team!
