    We have a client (MAS90 4.4.0.10) that needs to see if Sales Order and Purchase Order will meet their needs. Silly me, I installed the modules expecting the 45 day trial to work. If we try to activate in a test company, we get ""The Purchase Order module must be registered before it can be activated? If we choose any PO menu choice, we get ""The trial period for Purchase Order has expired."" Does anyone have a fix for this short of temporarily changing the license to a system that has SO and PO? Does the Trial Period work on later releases? Thanks

    When you say test you are in the ABC,XYZ... companies right?

    No, I was attempting to activate in a test copy of their real company. ABC is not installed

    I think it only works in the standard sage test companies. Just copy your real company data to one of the test companies or when you create a test company just give it a ABC code and the abc name and it will be happy I think.

    I created ABC company and copied the test company to it; however, it still refuses to activate SO or PO unless they are registered.

    Hummm I think you need to call Sage and see if they took this option away by mistake LOL. You probably have to register the customer as lead and maybe then they give you special code . Sorry ! Or try reinstalling it again.

    John I had some demo keys that I picked up from a Sage exhibit booth. They may unlock for 15-30 days - worth a shot. My notes from 2010: Just looking over a prior email and noticed that I'd picked up on these MAS 90 trial unlock keys at a trade show. Sage made available the full version of MAS (without VI) for a short period of time via demo disks. The keys were on a label stuck to the outside. I think these unlocks work for 15 or 30 days. I scooped these from a trade show when Sage had them freely available for anyone to take. I am pretty sure these keys do expire - but may be useful for demonstrations. YMMV as to whether they work on version 4.4 or not (it's possible that 4.4 was coded to exclude them from being valid).     Not sure why I think this, but, did you try making sure the ABC Company name was exactly as the demo data company name - ABC Distribution and Service Corp.?

    Thank you both. Regarding the keys, I wonder if they were designed to not care about the Sage Customer Name field. At one time, I think the name was part of the puzzle. I will give it a try and let you know what happens.

    That's a thought. I know the customer name Sage had on the Sage account used to matter but I haven't ever had any problem changing a name in the company record. Course the products were already registered.

    Yes @DianaLaughner is right I assumed that you made it exactly the way Sage's test company is. IT does have to be exact.

    I deleted the ABC I had setup so I can't say if it was exactly right. I'll try it again tonight. If that doesn't , I'll install the ABC Demo company from the Sage install image and see if I it will work. If that works, then copy the clients test company on top of it. Then I imagine I will have to re-initialize all the files in the ABCSO and ABCPO directories and set them up for the client's inventory.
