We have a 10+ year end user that uses Job Cost, they have approached me to talk about better job tracking. Which makes me want have them look at JobOps. (Dare I say) We have a love/hate relationship with JobOps, we were a Job Ops solution center at one time and we are not any longer (selling one install once a year or every two years was not a viable answer for us). Having said that, is there anyone out here that would be interested in doing a discovery call and demo? I can assist as well on any info/data that you might need. If it works out that their decision is to move to JobOps, we can discuss the transition over to using JobOps.

Jim, we have long experience with JobOps and Job Cost. I'd be interested in an initial discovery call with them, and we'll see if it makes sense to continue further, either with us or somebody else.

Jim, About how big is the company? How many manufacturing employees do they have? We did jobops for a number of years (and still have some clients we support), but found that it was only viable for companies already dedicated to mas90/sage 100 for life. It's not remotely competitive for 'net new' opportunities where you aren't selling to a controller who used MAS90 at his/her last job. It does mostly what it says its going to do but if the client is serious about optimized manufacturing processes and needs functionality like truly integrated quality control, true MRP, multiplant scheduling, visibility into materials movement while in production etc, than solutions like Epicor or Syteline are much more viable. Full disclosure, we are also Epicor ERP partners.

@MarkChinsky JobOps is definitely not for everyone, but it is still viable for customers new to Sage. We have to consider the market segment of Sage 100. These are companies that still struggle to get financial statements to the bank by the 15th, and continue to do many reports and analysis in Excel manually. As a whole they are not all that sophisticated - even the $30 - $50 million companies. They wouldn't know what to do with the Epicor features you list, but JobOps gives them the structure and controls they do need.
