We have 27 people registered for the Meeting of the Minds session topics webinar. Any thoughts on how to manage this group so that we don't have 15 people talking at once? I am thinking that the most important questions to answer are: a. Pre-Conference Training --- yes/no and if so what topic and cost b. Sessions to offer -- I'm not sure we need to ask about the number of concurrent tracks. I'm more interested in whether people want to learn about specific topics --- for example in reporting do they want to hear only about SI or should we have BizNet give more of an expanded training? Do we want more panels? Less panels? Do we want to invite Sage to speak? If so on what topic(s) Do we want to invite a Sage competitor - ie Netsuite, Accumatica? Any thoughts on how to lay out this session on Thursday?

I am thinking some type of Google survey similar to this might be helpful. Have the first half of the session be related to talking about the topics that we've come up with for the form. Then open up discussion for anything missed. Fill in the form with new ideas - send it out to everyone after the webinar (which should probably be about 30-45 minutes tops). Need some help on what goes on this survey. Here's a link to the Google Doc if anyone wants to add/revise: https://docs.google.com/a/community.90minds.com/forms/d/1AMUcpLuvGY4VwqX-zCW-tN7VP3vKWvE9cC-KYm9E5NY/edit

Looks like a good start to me. Again, I'd add a name & email address and make them required in this case. I'd suggest if we can accumulate the data and present it in some way back to those who say they want to attend, even if they don't read it, it will give the three who will read it a chance to prepare.

Looks good Wayne. Unfortunately, I have to take my mother for a medical appointment at noon CT this Thursday and I know I won't be able to make the webinar. So sorry to do this at the last minute but it's something I have to do. Can you record it?

@ThereseLogeais No worries - I think the most important part is filling up the form with potential sessions. I'm thinking of using the webinar to solicit ideas and review this survey. Then when the session ends I'll copy and paste everyone's email who attended and send them a link to complete the survey. Open microphone is tough with large groups but I think I'll stress that we are looking for new ideas and not any lengthy discourses.

My memory is that we charged: - Early registration for Socialcast members $ 250 - Regular registration (add'l people who were not in SC and from member firms) $ 500 - Late registration $ 750 I do not think we had pre-conference training last year -- or if we did I cannot recall the topic.

No preconference training last year. I think you have the pricing right. I'm not sure we actually charged a late registration rate exactly but what you have works. Is $500 enough to cover preconference training?

No. Wed probably have to charge extra. Likely around $750. Not sure whether we have a too topic in mind even.

    Ok I'll change

The survey says the preconference training presumably wouldn't exceed $500.

Actually wasn't $750 for two days and $ 500 was for one? Can't remember

Did you want the webinar brought to the top again?

Early bird was $250 - 41 paid this. Later registration was $500 - 10 people paid this. Dinner cruise for guests was $50.00. No preconference last year, just the admin annual meeting.

@JimWoodhead can we get together on an event budget including the hotel and event costs to make sure whatever we are offering for an attendance fee makes sense.

Tentatively my idea for the Thursday webinar is to go over the survey form, solicit ideas for anything that is NOT on the form. Then distribute the form to those who are attending as well as the rest of the membership.

@WayneSchulz Let me know when. First take is that the budget will be very similar to last year. but the food/entertainment may be 50 to 75 more depend on the number of attendees. last year we figured 65 this year it will be around 110. Jim
