We had two clients today that reported their Sage 100 ERP was running ""slow"". In both cases, I noticed that PEP was running in Master Console. In both cases, I turned off the PEP and the problem went away. There are also a number or postings in Sage City today regarding slowness. Anyone else getting calls reporting a problem such as this? Do you routinely allow PEP to run at your clients or do you turn it off? (I turn it off, not sure why it was on for these two clients).

I typically turn it off as well, but didn't when it first came out. I found that even though I turned it off in new versions, it was sometimes getting turned back on as part of the data/system migration so now I make sure to turn it off AFTER I'm done with the migration. Maybe that's what happened with yours. Our help desk got a call this week where that was the problem. We were wondering if a Windows update triggered issues for some reason.

Oddly enough I had to turn off PEP at a client today too.

I always turn it off since I've not received permission from the customer to allow Sage to gather their confidential data. Similar to how Sage automatically turns off our access to the portal.

We always turn it off, we have had it cause error messages in addition to the speed issues.

We turn it off on our client systems too. To quote @WayneSchulz ""I've not received permission from the customer..."". However, we are also noticing where it gets turned on again, even when no PU has been installed. Has anyone ever figured out how this works? Can it really turn on again by itself?
