I think it's a short term problem. The influx will slow down and it won't be as overwhelming.

Is it just me or do the new members have access to the default non grouped messages?

@RobertWood - no - it doesn't seem to be you. If you don't group a message, it seems like they can reply.

    Leave it on.

Socialcast automatically added them as Full members. $#%##. I had to manually switched them after they accepted their invitation. So they got a taste of the Good life for about an 1 hour while they were full members, They are External members now.

So will they see our responses to the welcome messages?

No... they should. It seems that non-categorized messages such as welcome messages show for all. Can we verify with Wes Yahoo's account?

I am pretty sure they don't.. not if you are an external member. We obviously have the option of added them as trial member and keep them out of the private groups but then we dont need external groups .

Can we test it? Do you have a non-admin account to test with?

TESTED ... They do not see the home feed. or any feed. They just get the groups and they need to be manually opened in order to read.

That is so stupid. They should at least see the welcome feed. Now I'm not sure we keep it on.

They do get the welcome in the individual feed of each channel so it will work. We just need to use the one in the chit chat feed.

I don't understand a word you just said but ok.

That's funny.... The point is that when you are an external member each channel * mas90 routine, * general chit chat are independent and there is no master feed like the full members have.

That's right - the only feed that External Contributors see is the individual group contents (Externals only). They do not have access to the ""share with my colleagues"" and it is by design since external people are brought in for single purpose discussion. As people get active I've no problem quickly proposing people for membership. I think we should give it at least six months.
