We are excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the pre-conference training for Intermediate Sage 100 Scripting. This course will be held July 25 and 26, 2015 at a hotel to be determined (stay tuned for more details). Pre-requisites: Attendance at a prior 90 Minds Sage 100 scripting course or special permission from the instructor AGENDA: Intermediate Sage 100 User Defined Scripting You will be introduced to Intermediate level scripting concepts including: Using progress bars Knowing how/when to deactivate/activate script events How to search using alternate keys for speed How to get and set multiple values at a time How to create a new record by copying from an existing one How to set values into screen controls Expanded use of storage variables Using For/Each loops and arrays Creating a custom error log and using the Activity Log New 2015 UI scripting capability to: Set control properties such as text color and background color Set grid colors as well as hide/show, disable/enable grid columns and cells Get the current screen (library) name, panel name, tab folder name Fire off scripts from any tab folder click Load custom values or filter values displayed in a dropbox and listbox FAQ: Are there prerequisites to attend this class? You must have either a) attended a prior 90 Minds sponsored Sage 100 Scripting session, or b) get special dispensation from the instructor. Can I bring others from my office? Anyone who is an employee of a 90 Minds member company may attend if they meet the other prerequisites. What is the cost? The following costs apply to those who are consultant or vendor members as well as anyone who is an employee of their company. Note the above prerequisites apply. Early registration 4/24/15 to 6/4/15: $800 per person - includes class, lunch, break Regular registration begins 6/5/15: $ 1,000 per person - includes class, lunch, break Is there is going to be an intro/beginners course before this class? 90 Minds isn't currently planning another beginners session before this class. We have held two previously and may do so again in the future but you may reach out to @AlnoorCassim and see if he has any others scheduled. He has offered the class at various times through other entities. Cancellation Policy: Admission is non-transferable except to another attendee from a 90 Minds member firm. Cancellations received 30 days prior to event entitled to a full refund minus $250 administration fee. No cancellations accepted within 30 days of event. No refunds or credit allowed for no shows. One way of meeting the prerequisite requirement if you haven't attended a 90 Minds scripting class is if you have attended one of the many non 90Minds scripting classes that Alnoor has presented in the past. Of course, you would still need his permission, but this could be a way of meeting the requirement.

Don't get the wrong idea - these were not for me, but for @CatherineFrias and @LisaDion who actually listened in class last year and actively do scripts. Besides, I can't be in NOLA until Sunday night, because we have tickets for Boy George and Culture Club at the Greek Theatre. (No, I didn't have to wait in line overnight for those tickets.)

What? Not attend Summit? I have to attend so I can see who's not there.

If you are on the fence about attending Summit - just think how much fun that keynote is going to be. I keep hearing the reorg is not done and maybe by the time we get to NOLA we'll have a completely new set of people to meet. Because there are so many of us in the group I'm pretty sure if there's enough interest we can book some one/one time with Sage execs to share their vision and have a Q&A prior to Summit.

I am going to Destin Florida that week - see everyone in San Diego! Alnoor's class almost had me - but I think it is time for a beach.....
