  • 1.  Warehouse value with zero QOH

    Client has two warehouses with zero quantity on hand, yet the IM trial balance shows a value. I've tried all the usual hidden balancing utilities (under *UTL) including recalculating history and it does not resolve the issue. The KS doesn't offer any additional suggestions. Anyone have another option? Thanks.

    There is (or was) a KB article that provided a process.  Essentially, you adjust in a quantity with no cost, and fully update.  Then adjust the same quantity out with the cost that is showing on the trial balance.

    Problem as old as Sage.  Here is an older KB on the issue. In March/April of 2017, I worked with @Jeff Fiddelman on a utility to clean this up.  It worked at the time.  Maybe he will dig it up and reshare here.  Bottom line, it searched the cost table for zero quantity tiers with a cost value <> 0, created a CSV of records, then deleted the tier.

    It could be cost tiers or warehouse values.  I believe Elliott indicated this has been fixed in recent versions for IA transactions (which is the source of these phantom amounts for a couple of our customers who simply refuse to stop using IA in day to day processes).
