Early in 2020 a customer upgraded from 4.5 to 2015 because their server needed to be replaced.  They would have stayed on 4.5 forever, but we convinced them to upgrade to something newer while their maintenance was still valid.  They chose 2015 because this was the last version before you needed to upgrade to PR Subscription and they had no interest in paying maintenance any more.  Needless to say they are pissed now as there is no W-2 printing in 2015 and you need a valid subscription to  use Federal eFiling and reporting.   They do not have many employees and were fine with printed forms and are no where near the requirement.

My only suggestion to them is the perpetual history report as they are only in one state.   Any other ideas before I tell them the bad news and alternative to fork up big bucks to Sage for what they see as no value?

You can export the data to Excel and then go direct to Aatrix on the web

I don;t remember who posted this today, but you can download an Excel template and software from Aatrix, export the required fields from Sage 100 and then process W-2s and or 1099s for a small fee.   https://www.aatrix.com/efile/#signup2download

Since Sage has a contract with Aatrix, and if Aatrix finds out that this is a Sage client who didn't renew their maintenance, Aatrix might be legally obligated to not process their W2's....meaning, they shouldn't use the company name that is registered with Sage when they set a login at Aatrix.  90 Minders are right, however, about just exporting the data out of Sage and/or using the Aatrix spreadsheet outside of Sage - it works!
