W-2 printing in MAS - What a frickin joy! Below is a link to Sage's form site if anyone is interested in printing on blank paper. I haven't tried this yet but but fairly certain that it will be the path for 2012 printing. http://www.sagenorthamerica.com/Solutions/Other-Solutions/Sage-Checks-and-Forms The plain 4 up form is competively priced (compared to what I paid locally). Does anyone have any tips to share which makes printing easier? For many of my clients, I pull their PR folder to my office computer for printing, then mail the w-2's to them. They like not having the hassle plus I don't have to screw with alignments on various printers.

With the blank 4 up forms I do most clients remotely.

Doesn't the Aatrix e-Filing support just printing the blank forms (that may be what Myron was saying as well) ?

Yes, I use Aatrix. The only thing that is a pain is the 1009s, but not so much to prevent doing it remotely.

Myron, where do you get the blank forms from? Aatrix does seem to be the way for me in the future.

Also, don't order the ones with the instructions. That why extra blank ones can be used in future years.

But how do you get the instructions on the back of the form? Isn't this an IRS ""rule"" that there are instructions on the back?

Aatrix will print the instructions. Either print them on plain paper (my prefence) or print them on the backside of the employee's copy.

Have a client (not using Aatrix) that has FIVE box 12 codes. Unfortunately, MAS only provides room for 4 codes? Any thoughts on printing w-2's? I suggested that they print the four codes first, then reprint the employees with the fifth code. Am I on the right track?

Aatrix seems to use a different (more dynamic) method to generate its w-2 numbers. Have a client with 3rd party sick pay. Following the prescribed Sage method entering this data, they modified the FED tax summary fields to account for this pay. The MAS w-2 printing works as anticipated, however the Aatrix numbers are off by the amount of the adjustments. So do you modify the Aatrix grid for these employees also or is there a different way of handling the data entry in MAS now?

Never mind the question. When I went to modify the fields in MAS, I received a warning message to that effect (Aatrix is not updated).
