Visual integrator error trapping/messages are not similar to UI errors in new version compare to 4.30 and has become less understandable for customers. Note: Below steps is an example of how the error trapping is different between 4.30 and 4.40 and higher. 1. Expand GL,Setup and click on General ledgler option and make sure batch entry is turned on for GL general journal 2. Go to GL,Main and click on General Journal entry 3. Choose the next batch Number and enter AP for the source Journal and choose 000007 for the entry number and fully finish entering the lines. 4. Create an import to import to GL Journal header and use the same entry number. 5. Notice that in the log you will get a message that L Record AddLine()Failed.
