  • 1.  Video Conferencing software

I have a customer who needs to hold concurrent online video meetings; i.e. multiple separate meetings that take place at the same time. I'm having trouble finding software that does this. Suggestions?

Wouldn’t you just need multiple licenses of a video conferencing app?

Yes. However, all the support sites for the providers that I've researched say that each meeting would need to run on separate computers.

Don't most service - Webex, Zoom - offer multiple meetings. Would the same person be hosting multiple meetings simultaneously?  What about something like Zoom Rooms? These all get pricey fast and I would avoid no-namers since they may have less capacity/infrastructure

They could have a license for 2 products.  I have personally had multiple sessions going at once, Webex, GoToMeeting, while connected to another like Zoom or RingCentral.

The kicker is that one person has to host multiple meetings at the same time. Just in case you're wondering why, he's a mediation lawyer who would normally have all parties to an action in his office; plaintiffs and their attorney in one conference room, defendants and their attorney in another room, and may occasionally pull both attorneys into a third room. Now he needs to hold these meetings remotely. @Michelle Taylor, I hadn't thought of having 2+ products. Way to think outside the box!

The good news is that after more research, it turns out that Zoom has something called Breakout Rooms. I haven't seen it in action so I don't know the particulars, but it is supposed to handled the described situation.

    Thanks, people!

Thanks @Karen O'Lane!  That is great to know that Zoom has that - thanks @Wayne Schulz for that!  I will be sharing with my customers, too. :)
