VI import to Item Transaction Entry, Transfers on 4.40+ HOW DO YOU DO IT?? usually the bus framework VI jobs require less info and are easier to configure, but not with this. I tried it first without any tier data or line sequence number, and it said everything imported fine. But no detail records show in transaction entry. I tried adding tier info from the source whse cost table. Lot's of imported with invalid fields, and still no detail records show in transaction entry. Has anyone become an expert on this

I know in the past, I have had to reinitialize the transaction entry files to reset the line sequences. I think that was pre-4.4 though.

I would love to know the secret. I struggled creating a transfer transaction in entry in 4.4 and finally gave. I used the adjustment type and imported twice, one positive/one negative amounts.

Dang, you would think transfers would be the easiest type!

I called Sage Support and got a solution... The solution is.... I had TOO MANY fields included in the data tab! 1. The transaction date field is on the data tab by default - but I needed to remove it. 2. For Transfers, only include the Header default From and To warehouses. Do NOT include the Line warehouse code field. Once I removed those two fields, it worked as expected. I didn't have to deal with any of the tier distribution fields, just let MAS do it's thing. Basic Rule for VI on framework modules; Less is better.

Oh, the old ""less is more philosophy""...... A tough habit to break for the old timers......

Yes and no. How much less is always the big question.
