Sage 100

VI import job maintenance does not run on any workstation but will run on server. Sage 2016 PU3. Sage throws a pop up window with no error number. VI_ImportJobMaintenance_UI displays in the window and you can only close the window. Jobs can be run but not maintained.

Are they running Standard on the workstations and Classic on the server? Totally WAG.

Could this be a Sage 100 Advanced issue where the service is running on a local instead of domain admin account? Issue being local won't see non-server paths while domain admin will

I've had problems with VI in Standard mode (v2016 Advanced). Switch to Classic and all works well.

Tried both standard and classic on the workstation. We think this is s a permissions issue. Sage 100 standard. Turns out the network is set up as a work group and not domain. There does not appear to be a domain admin account. Even though they are running 2008_R2. We can log on as ""administrator"" on the server but cannot use that administrator ID to login to a workstation. We think it is related to that specific application within VI needing permissions that other functions don't. VI_ImporJobMaintenance_UI.pvc does not run but VI_ImportPreSelect_UI.pvc does run. They can pick the job but not edit it. They can run the job but not edit it. There are days...

ok, so explain to me again how I can run Microsoft Word and this stupid Sage system can't run? .......
