Very good explanation from @ToddMartin about why some paperless documents have a big white spot --- especially on headers. It has to do with fonts --- or rather fonts that might be missing. Sage seems to have resolved this in 2014 with PU1 (as Todd notes) Great job illustrating as well as explaining why this was occurring. http://www.mbabsi.com/support-blog/support-blog/paperless-pdf-whiteout

Thanks @ToddMartin - There have been numerous posts regarding the mystery of this. I was grumbling why Sage changed all the fonts in 2014. Now I know the rest of the story!!!

Looks as if this is a PAPERLESS CONVERTER issue so don't be thrown if you can preview a report and see the fonts but when you print to paperless you get the whiteout effect.

Thanks Wayne and Jeff! It is an issue with the converter and we had some customers who had this issue and didn't realize for months that their paperless was sent out with the whiteout on it. I thought it was funny that just after I posted this blog that Sage came out with a Fix that changed the fonts. I was surprised to PU1 released so quickly. Was that planned? Did they release 2014 on the day they had scheduled PU1 (since the 2014 release was delayed)?

PU1 was actually out in advance of 2014. Do you think they'll issue a PU for 2013 or any of the earlier supported versions? I think if they do not issue a release it calls into question their definition of ""supported"" version.

The release notes reference fixes that were also release for 2013 PU5, but that PU is not up on the portal yet.

I think PU5 is due out at the end of March - I have a client that is anxiously awaiting it - Sage has told us that it will improve performance during the creation of PDF documents.
