version 4.5. 2 S/O form codes, which are very similar to each other, both based on marbled templates and print to the same printer. Both preview in color. One prints color, the other b&w. Can't find the difference. I initially found that the form that prints color has the ""No Printer"" checkbox enabled. The other does not. Enabled it. Saved. Still prints b&w. I restarted MAS on that computer, but no change. There must be a setting or property somewhere - I just can't find it. Properties of the logo look identical. The client switched printers recently, and the problem is new since the switch. Ideas?

I have the same issue, can't find the setting or property to print in color again.

There was a document I saw online that suggested what @BarbaraGoldstein already tried (change to no printer) and they also seemed to suggest that if that didn't work try adding the specific printer as the default to the report.

In Crystal XI, I don't see how to assign a default printer. My interpretation of Crystal help is that the printer selection is occurring during printing, and can't be defaulted in the design. Anybody read it differently?

File, Print. Choose the printer and check the preferences.

Thanks @DougHiggs , but my issue is in Crystal XI with MAS version 4.5. The dialog box you show is for Crystal 2011.

@KevinMoyes that box is disabled in both form templates. Enabled it in the form that won't print color. Still won't print color.

Check the default printer properties in Windows? Make sure the default is set for color not b&w

Looks like it is time to fix the old printer, migrate to the latest and greatest or perhaps get that person a new workstation????

It's a form issue. They have a second, similar form that DOES print color. I think I'll try making a copy of it and customizing it to replace the original. I just haven't been able to find out what's different between the two forms with regard to printing properties.

@BarbaraGoldstein... I was able to fix my issue with missing color on a SO form. Sage 100 STD v4.50 PU#5. Printer=HP OfficeJet Pro 8500. Two workstations (C & NC) using the same Crystal SO Invoice form. Even though both Windows 10 workstations were printing to the same HP printer and both workstations had similar color=on settings, I discovered workstation(NC) was using a printer driver that was different from workstation(C). Removed the Windows 10 device from workstation(NC) and recreated using the same HP driver as the Windows 10 workstation(C). SO Invoice form now prints in color from both workstation. I hope my story helps in your situation.

It turns out the color logos on both forms were printing in color, but the blue boxes with the white text that display the section labels (using the marbled format) were what was printing in color on one form & b&w on the other. I never figured out why the difference in behavior, but chose to copy and modify the working form.
