Vendor Members question. Where did we leave it regarding providing a list of regular members to the vendor members?

I ""thought"" that the list was made available to them. What have you told the vendor members???

I thought we were reluctant to release the names? We had one complain about being emailed from attending a webinar.

I've said nothing but a few have asked me. I said that I would check with the Admin Board and we would get back with a decision. We have two choices here: 1. Provide the list on an annual basis and hope the Vendor Members see value beyond just the list names in renewing their membership. 2. We control all the Vendor messages to the members. Both options have pros and cons.

But then again, I thought AP aging items had the same set up options as AR...... For $1,000 a month, I certainly would trust the vendor with the addresses. We could always put a couple plants in the list to control off message spamming. We could require them to have an opt out option for those members feeling overwhelmed. Maybe only provide it to the top two tiers?????? I am open to sensible solutions.

I'm ok with providing all vendor members a membership list. I think we should just add that (copy/pasted) to a Google Doc -- with only basic info (Name, Firm, Email, Phone) -- then we could provide all of our members with that list as well and we'd be able to update the list without having to send out an update. (Note: I have some concerns about people sharing this link outside the group of vendors and members) As Jeff said - I think the vendor members are paying an appropriate fee that I'm comfortable providing that info. @RobertWood ?

And speaking of vendor members - has anyone mentioned that we are nearly into two months of the six month vendor member period? If this does come up, we could move the period to 7/1 - 12/31.....

That issue has never been raised and I'm not raising it. My bigger concern is that based on some conversation that I've had ... no one is actually reading the document as to what is included and what is not. I'm scheduling calls to review benefits with the folks that have already paid. My ulcer is already flaring up ...

What we should probably do with the membership list is make the list available to all members including vendor members.

I'm thinking make the list available to all - it would also be a good aid for people to review to see who is in the group. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible and am thinking a Google Spreadsheet might be the best? Of course we run the risk that someone shares the link but what's really the big loss I guess.
