Vendor Member Relations: I removed Peter from the Admin group. How do we want to handle vendor member relations in the interim? Do we just not worry about it until we have the meeting next week to discuss the consultant/mgmt company/reorg/etc?

Maybe the agreement should state something like payment in the appropriate amount would be accepted in lieu of the signed agreement. yadda yadda!

At this point I am wholly unimpressed with the participation of the vendor members - virtually all of whom seem to be looking for a trip to MOTM and a speaking gig and not much more. I'm all in favor of trimming these benefits back absent any reasonable feedback from the VM community. I am personally disturbed by the lack of value that I feel I've been able to provide and am out of time on a personal level to devote any more energy to this area.

What IS the agreement they need to sign?

This stuff takes time to evolve and gain traction. Maybe it will, maybe it won't but I don't want to be like Sage and through something at the wall and let it die there. If we don't figure out something (maybe a trip to MOTM and a speaking gig IS all they want), we risk being a one and done with the VM program lose a significant funding source.

Thanks @RobertWood but if they say they want to join and pay, isn't it assumed they know what they are paying for? It would be nice if someone kept any emails that request a membership. I would guess Peter has many of the back and forth dialogues.

@ThereseLogeais the signed agreement spells out what they are sending the money for and what benefits they have been told to expect.

Not to assign anyone Peter's job but @JeffSchwenk , since you initiated the email to Peter, could you send Bryce and Paul the agreement and ask for signatures? If you want to cc me and assign it to me, that's okay too. Just a thought.
