@MichelleNichols Unchecked the spawn tasks for user affected and that seemed to do the trick. Thank you! i usually associate enabling spawn tasks if there is a connection issue. It never occurred to me to turn it off. It is not checked for the majority of the other users. troubleshooting was more difficult because one of the accountants ""who knows a lot about IT"", tried reinstalling WS setup and then getting ""Cannot Open Activation Key File - No Valid Activation Found"" when launching Sage 100. turned off UAC and re-installed then ran in XP compatibility mode (Win 7 computer).
