v4.5.05 item extended description in SO entry. I would like prevent editing of this field but still allow the user to view the extended description to confirm they have configured the item correctly. In the forums I saw to add the itemdesc to the lower panel to prevent editing but then it only shows the first 30 characters. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Lisa, I would use custom office and lock the grid on the screen found in common Information > Common Entry > DEXTDESC go to the options and mark it as locked and/or Disabled for the users you don't want editing rights.
