V45 to v2014 advanced go live. Client has noted extreme slowness during the SO invoice update process. PEP is off, AV is supposed to be off for the v2014 folder, Available disk space is a little weak, but has about 15 GB available (which is about what they had before). Sage CRM is in play. Any ideas on what else to look at?

AV but also did they move servers? How are they connecting - cabled I hope. In most cases the IT staff have fine tuned their AV and Malware over years to exclude the old Sage folder. Now we pop it into a new one and it begins again. The biggest issue is the IT staff refusing to believe that AV could be the cause (on server and/or workstation).

Have you allowed MAS to be ignored by the DEP on server and local workstations? Right click Computer | Advanced System Settings | Advanced tab of System Properties | Settings button on Performance section \ Data Execution Prevention Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for this I select. Select pvxwin32.exe

@CooperBlack - DEP was turned off for the old v450 folder but I did not make any adjustments for the v2014 folder. It is a bit funny but I was talking to a reseller yesterday about this and she may have suggested DEP but I checked the PEP flag and told her it was off. Maybe she meant DEP instead. Need to get my ears checked.

Is the crystal exe also added to the dep exceptions? Have you applied the crystal update that I learned about at the 90Minds meeting tips and tricks session?

@JeffSchwenk - I am getting this message on a few of my clients as well. It just started and I have not investigated it to know how to resolve it. Sorry. When I figure it out, I will reply. I would try the crystal run time update.

I prefer setting DEP to ""essential Windows programs and services"". That may require a reboot however.

@CooperBlack - Slowness appears to be related to the actual end of day records update, NOT report generation. Will keep the Crystal idea in my back pocket and wait to see if Alnoor's suggestion has any impact.

@JeffSchwenk did Alnoor's suggestion improve the end of day update performance?

@KathrynScofield - Wow thought I had posted the fix. My apologies. Turned out that CRM was the culprit. Had to drop in some new components for it. Kudos to @MarcCregan for finding that gem. See attached
