v4.45 ... Issue with Sage Intelligence. During the account group link process I see 2 account groups that SI requires linking that are not present in Sage 100. This is causing issues displaying and totaling in Report Designer. See attached. SI shows 3 account groups called ""operating expenses"" yet Sage 100 only has one instance. How can I get rid of the 2 unwanted groups in SI?

I'll get right on that. Do you think I can get it done before noon? They need the statements by Monday. :-)

Of course they need it on Monday. Duh. Link all three unmatched categories to the same cost and expenses group.

@LouWagner I have tried that. The issue then becomes when the good category is added to the income statement via report designer it does not include the value in any of the totals. If you look you will see there is an ""OPERATING EXPENSE"" and an ""Operating Expense"". ""OPERATING EXPENSE"" does not exist. When ""Operating Expense"" is added, the SI changes the value to ""OPERATING EXPENSE"" which doesn't have any accounts linked to it.

That sounds really bizarre. What happens if you leave the two ""missing"" categories unmapped? EDIT: I wonder where SI is getting the two phantom categories.......

I get a message that they need to be mapped before proceeding.

Almost as if you have bogus entries in the GL_AccountCategory.M4T or GL_AccountGroup.M4T files. Sorry I'm not much help on this one........

exactly.. Looked using DFDM and no bogus entries. These used to be valid group categories but were changed recently. Not sure where SI stores the categories for mapping. Apparently it must be cached somewhere in SI but I don't know where.

Assuming your system is even remotely similar to mine (I used the ABC Company data), try this: Make sure Excel is closed. Run the report from the Report Manager Menu. When the mapping tool first pops up, click Cancel. When the Excel spreadsheet comes up, right click the Notes tab and click unhide. Unhide Sheet1. Check the list of codes in the AccountGroup and AccountGroupDesc columns. Should be columns BO and BP. --OR-- Use Find in Excel to search for the bogus codes but be sure to do a case sensitive search. See if the bogus codes are listed there, somewhere in those columns or located in the search. If those columns have the bogus codes, then I'm wondering if the container is set up incorrectly.
