V4.4 - Sales order entry Detail Line Have an item from IM that does not have an extended description. I want to overrided the description in order entry but am being blocked by the 30 character limit. The extended description flag is visible but not active. Bug or user not doing something correctly?????

Have you tried clicking the button that has a cartoon balloon above the primary grid?

I didn't draw a pretty red square around it, but I think you can find it.
